Jacque Greene x Tinashe - "Painted Faces"

Village Studios in Santa Monica is hollowed ground in the record business. Built by the Freemasons as a Masonic Temple in the 1920s, then converted in the 60s by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the studio has been the site of legendary recordings from The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, The Doors, The Smashing Pumpkins and more.

On the day that Jacques Greene and Tinashe were set to record their first collaboration, we happened to be sharing the hallways with Fleetwood Mac, and Sir Elton John. Greatness was in the walls, in the air, and the stage was set for the making of a new song — from scratch.
